UFC86 Preview

UFC86 Jackson Vs. GriffinUFC86 is the culminatation of a little bit of smack talk here and there between Quinton Jackson and Forrest Griffin (no relation to Peter Griffin) on the TV show The Ultmate Fighter.

The co-main event on that card is Patrick Cote versus Ricardo Almeida, the big dog! This is going to be a banger to say the least. I am recording the fight at home to watch that one over and over again, I hope it lives up to my expectations. That said, I also have the main event which should laso be a sick fight!

Joe Stevenson makes a return after his blood bath battle loss to BJ Penn. Also on the card we have a lot of big fights – Gabriel Gonzaga is on the freakin’ undercard, I know, WTF?!

If you haven’t bought this PPV you should run home now and order it or at least go find it in a bar.

UFC86 Rampage Vs. Forrest Griffin

After “The Ultimate Fighter 7″ finale is over and there has been enough bad words said between Quinton Jackson and Forrest Griffin they’ll face each other in the Octagon and headline UFC86 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jackson’s last fight was his first defense of his title against Dan Henderson via unanimous boredom. Let’s hope that young blood Griffin brings some spark to the Octagon and kicks the crap out of Rampage. I know he’s defended the title once but I want to see a new title holder already!

Griffin knows all about being TUF since he won the first season of it. He earned his shot at Rampage after beating Mauricio Rua by rear naked choke way back last September. It was a shock to see that happen, I’m not going to lie but he won fair and square and was impressive en route.

This will undoubtedly be a HUGE event. I’m looking forward to it.
