Georges St. Pierre PWNed Matt Hughes and it sounds like Hughes sounded like he may be retiring soon. He mentioned at UFC79 after the fight that “he only wants to fight a few more fighters”. Let’s face it buddy, wrestling can take you so far then after that you gotta step up and learn some new abilities. Georges St. Pierre won with an arm bar and Hughes appeared to be crying “HELP ME, HELP ME, HELP ME, HELP ME…” Yet gracious as always in a win or lose situation Matt Hughes was respectful to GSP and was humbled. Meanwhile GSP gave the belt to one of his corner men and stated that it is not his belt until he beats Serra.
Other PWNage that night:
Sokoudjou got respectively PWNed by Machida until Machida mentioned him going back to the jungle..
Roan Carneiro PWNed Tony DeSouza
Chuck Liddell PWNed Wanderlei Silva. That’s right Liddell was definitely NOT on Nyquil that night and pounded the hell out of Silva. 6 years in the making and Chuck stood up and beat the hell ot of the Axe Murderer.
Rich Clementi PWNed Melvin Guillard BIG TIME and Guillard, after all his fronting and what not just looked embarrassed. So he should have been, he should get back on Cocaine and hit harder.

Wow. UFC79 Nemesis… This one is probably going to go down as a HUGE PPV buy for the UFC. The biggest fight of the year was definitely the last fight of the year and as a spectator of the Wanderlei Silva Vs. Chuck Liddell fight, I was NOT disappointed!
UFC79 was a class event apart from Melvin Guillard being an idiot, but whatever, if you read the results below you’ll understand that justice was served :) Matt Hughes was dominated by Georges St. Pierre and the final fight, the rubber went to the mat and GSP pulled a result which was not as expected, regardless, he is the interim UFC middle weight champion and will fight Matt Serra for the belt.

UFC79 - Nemesis
Here is the final and official fight card. We’ve been waiting for this headline fight for EVER and now it is going to happen unless something happens between now and tonight!
Wanderlei Silva and Chuck Liddell will fight and it most likely will not got to a decision. Also tonight we’ll see the rubber match up of Georges St. Pierre against UFC veteran Matt Hughes. The bad blood between Melvin Guillard and Rich Clementi will finally spill over into the Octagon. Eddie Sanchez wasn’t killed by Cro Cop so we’ll see him fight again tonight and another notable appearance will be made by “The African Assassin” Rameau Sokoudjou.
Unfortunately the Jordan Radev fight may not be broadcast but since there may be a few quick fighs you never know. Here’s the fight card, enjoy the show!

They guys at BetUS Sports Radio (One of the very few mildly entertaining MMA radio shows out there) put up an interview with GSP.
The guys training with half the effing UFC for his fight with Matt Hughes, AND he was training for the Olympic Wrestling trials AND Lucian Bute before the fight even got announced…so much for Hughes strategy of getting GSP while he’s out of shape…haha, sucka.

The December 29th UFC79 fight card might get a bit more interesting as The Huntington Beach Bad Boy Tito Ortiz has expressed interest in a fight between himself and Dan Henderson.
Seriously, the talent pool in the UFC is getting seriously thin. look at UFC78….WTF…? I’m getting concerned really. Chuck is no longer the golden boy of the UFC, Randy is gone, Tito is one loss from being dumped by the UFC, Rashad Evans and Michael Bisping are HEADLINERS?? You feel me? Where are my rivalries and superstars? It sure as hell isn’t Matt Hughes and Matt Serra.
Does GSP have to save this organization on his own?
Tell me, what does this org have to do to get going again? The future looks bleak.
