Main event is rumored to be Sean Sherk vs. BJ Penn for the lightweight championship. Here are other fights to be confirmed:
- Keith Jardine vs. Wanderlei Silva
- Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
- Jeremy Stephens vs. Terry Etim
- Rousimar Palhares vs. Ivan Salaverry
- Goran Reljic vs. Wilson Gouveia
- Dong-Hyun Kim vs. Jason Tan
A very lackluster fight card apart from the lightweight bout and the rumors of Tito Ortiz vs. Lyoto Machida can’t be true because Tito recently said he won’t fight in the UFC again as long as Dana is president.
Other sources have revealed that Tito will fight but this is his last in the UFC. This is what happens when you are spoiled rotten, he has no chance to fight against big name (big purse) fighters because Dana hates him. The onlyonption is to flee to greener pastures. He’ll probably be seeing Tim “Overrated” Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski leaving the UFC soon too.

Should be one helluva card, Wandi needs to win this one, Sardine can put himself in real contention if he wins but as we know Dana has his favorites, Rashad vs Thiago should be good, Rashad will need to control him everywhere in the fight if he is going to be victorious, My predictions are Silva via KO (Punch) in Round 1, Rashad Evans via TKO (Strikes) in round 2!
I’m not sure if it is Dana or Tito, but both seem to be egomaniacs. I’ve heard rumors that Tito was pricing himself right out of the UFC. Tito has to know what he is worth, and if the UFC and no one else is signing him at the amount he wants, the only thing that makes sense is that he doesn’t want to fight anymore. You’re only worth what someone is going to pay you.
I think it should be anticipated that alot of fighters are going to be high-ego characters, and I think the President needs to do what he can to separate his own ego from this type of business. It should not matter if he doesn’t like a fighter, maybe someone else can be appointed to deal with them. Someone with persuasive tone and finesse.
BTW Sylvia is not overrated, I think the Tim hate has more to do with his appearance and the way he acts than it does with his skill in the octagon. He can knock anyone out. There was no shame in the way he lost to Minotauro, he got overconfident and slipped up AFTER tenderizing Mino’s face and nearly putting him out. I can almost guarantee that Mino never wants to look across the cage at Tim again.
Personaly I think Noguera is given way too much respect in the octagon. If you respect what a fighter has done, thats fine, show that by training hard, but when you get in the cage, it all needs to go out the window. Just go for the KO when you get a chance like Silvia or Heath did. In both of those fights he was put on queer street, but both fighters allowed him to regain his composure, which he does pretty quickly. The next fighter needs to have total disreguard for his distinguished resume. Give him Brandon Vera or some other disrespectful kid with good hands.
Tito has signed so its on, but Dana is sure throwing him to the wolves, if Pride had one guy who deserved all the hype that Rua and Silva got in the 205lb weight class, its Machida. I predict he will win in devastating fasion, I’d honestly rather see him take on Chuck, now that has fireworks writen all over it! Goodnight to somebody! But if Tito wins it’s by decision, I’d almost bet on it.
I agree, Jacob “Tito” Ortiz forgot how to finish fights along time ago, I would love to see Machida finish him (not likely) before he (hopefully) leaves the ufc for the last time and trotts off to wwe or elitexc!
