I guess Lesnar thought he could bully Mir around the octagon but just like Houston Alexander he didnt know what to do once on his back!

I think that I feel the same way about Lesnar as most people. He is cocky beyond his ability. However, as hard as it is to admit, I do have to give him at least some props. For the first 1:20 of the match he was kicking Mir’s ass. He was winning the match until he made a mistake. Mir’s experience came through when Lesnar’s inexperience showed. I think, given 1-2 more years of training, he will have the potential to be a force in the heavyweight ranks of UFC. But I still think he is an arrogant ass!!

I agree with Tacdawg. Lesnar was PWNing Mir. Clyde, big body, no use? Are you sure you weren’t watching Lesnar in a WWE “fight”?

During the fight with Mir, Lesnar was able to easily take him down. His reactions seemed very quick and seemed to take Mir off guard. Had Lesnar not punched Mir in the back of the head he would have been able to hold him and continue to pound. The problem with Lesnar at this point is that he is one dimensional. He relies on his quick reflexes and ground and pound to finish. When a submission expert like Mir is able to trap an appendage he doesn’t have enough experience to counter or to see it coming. I do also think that he will learn. He has a long way to go to develop his game. As long as he continues to work he has potential. Doesn’t mean I like him (because I don’t). But I think that with his strength, agility, and wrestling skills, he has to be taken seriously.

entertainment is different from real sport. maybe he that good for WWE but in MMA competetion big boxes doesn’t count.
