…… Well, the black “bend over and spread ‘em” latex gloves that is.
Big John has elected to quit his referring gig with the UFC in favor of becoming an on-air personality with Canadian cable channel The Fight Network.
Aside from fight analysis and color commentary, McCarty will also act as a “Strategic Advisor” behind the scenes…… Whatever that means.
Big John will ref his last fight for the UFC on saturday night during the Ultimate Fighter Finale. His first assignment in his new vocation will be providing the color commentary on the December 14th TKO pay-per-view.
Apparently, the fighters aren’t the only ones Zuffa is underpaying…….

THAT WILL BE A SAD DAY IN MMA ,, NO MORE LETS GET IT ON !!!!!!
What a big loss for the ufc, Big Jon will be missed!
I’ll say it again, He was part of the main events. Will never be the same.
Good luck to him in his new role. Yup, he will be missed. The show must go on. There is no-one that new their stuff better than him but….. I always have a but; the other refs do a damn fine job too. Kudos to them! Cheers up and cheer up.
that sucks the fat one for the fighters and the fans he did a great job
as far as safety and keepin the action going well knowledgeable in fighting also.
Big John rocks!!! Miss ya big fella. Dana could of given you some acknowledgment last night for the ultimate fighter finale, however I’m not surprised he treats everyone else like crap foolish to think he’d be a stand up guy now!
Ya, I didn’t notice any mention of the fact that it was his last night. But I may just not have been listening. Did anyone hear something I missed?
Didn’t hear anything either but has anyone ever thought that Big Jon may not have wanted any of that? Yah never know. Dana is not the only one that could have said anything about it. Harsh words for Dana. No- one is perfect! JMO
That suxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Big Jon was the best ref and he was the real deal and all the small things he did just made the fights so much more entertaining and fun to watch. He was the best one there, he had enthusiasm, he knew when to stop a fight, and all that good stuff
Silently wishing Big Jon will come back for 79.
