Lesnar’s foray into MMA gets a serious upgrade as the former WWE pretend wrestler steps into the octagon against former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir. Mir has had limited succsess in his comeback to the UFC since he almost lost his leg in a motorcycle accident.
Regardless, Lesnar is in it deep this time around, Mir might not be as good as he once was but this is no tomato can for Brock.

Sad.. but, neither fighter has ever had me sitting on the edge of my seat!!! Pickings are getting rather slim in the UFC. Now only going by what recent fighters have alleged to but maybe Dana should show not only fans some real love but fighters as well!!! I say bring in Randy Corture!!!! to fight Wanderlei Silva. He puts asses in the seats and is an exciting fighter in that ole octagon. Speaking of course by a fans point of view.

Lesnar may just bring some new light into the UFC Yah never know. I really don’t have an opinion on this one! If he is training as hard as they claim and remembers the difference in the rules then maybe just maybe…………. Mir seems to be head strong about his career and getting it back on track is his focus. Id love that fight but both guys are very good friends and in 2 different weight classes!
I hope Mir can beat Lesnar but it wont be easy that guy is built like a truck, If Frank gives him too much space on the ground the next minute it could be all oveeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr!

I’m sure Lesnar has some interesting take down moves! Being fairly new to this sport he may have to lose some to learn the world of MMA. In the WWE they have time and breaks in their moves to set each one up. Not here big guy. Not here.

wrestling is purely entertainment and mma is a real gladiator sport so if Mir gets himself in warrior shape Lesnar shouldn’t stand a chance. WTH is going through the minds of Dana White and the rest of the owners (besides a rush of air!) What the hell is going on?????????????? This sport I’m sure when looked at as any other job has some real disgruntle employee’s. If the big wigs keep treating the fighters with little or no regard it seems they could have a freaking mutiny on their rich little hands. The only big thing in the UFC lately is scandal and as an avid fan I’m getting really disgusted with all the BS. I pray the UFC never becomes like TNA wrestling because I would stop being a viewer. I saw wrestling once live in Hamilton at Cops Colosseum and Hogan, Undertaker, Macho man were all there. The one guy threw a punch missed his opponent by three feet and he flew out of the ring, never been more disappointed and have NEVER gone to another match or watched any wrestling on T.V. since. I’m a widow and the UFC etc…. gives me a new found joy strange maybe but I hope this SPORT doesn’t go to the dogs I’d be crushed!!

Oh God hahaha. In response to several of the comments that a Pro Wrestler doesn’t stand a chance against somebody like Mir. I would tend to agree. But I think Dana and the boys are counting on a good showing from Lensar based more on his NCAA wrestling pedigree than say, the fact that he has competed in “The Elimination Chamber”…….
I guess we will see! Like I said before may just bring something new to this sport. Shall be interesting!!!!!
Frank mir by heel hook start of round 2 from his guard…..brock will take him down…frank mir will get his guard….try and armbar or triangle…lesnar will try to avoid it by moving away…mir will lock one of his legs….lesnar will fall and mir will get the heel hook….Prediction.i mite be wrong but would be kool if it goes tht way

Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar - It’ll be something to see, a pretend WWF-WWe-WcW, what-ever the past acting had been, to go against the come back KidD ( Frank Mir). Mir will take his UFC roots to heart, hopefully not one of those play acting do dabs…fall for the money deals. I feel the UFC is real enough that it might turn out, whose the Man…or whose going to have his tail between his legs afterward. Penn did great, fear and conditioning will do that. Hopefully for the best that what this fight will bring out.

I too believe that Lesnar will completely man handle Mir. After all thats what wrestlers are trained to do. Poor ole Mir is about to be crushed!!! Judging by Mir’s past fights with his belly hanging over the shorts he obviously is not training to damn hard and this time its going to do him in!
If Mir is in rock solid shape he may be able to decision Lesnar but if he fights like he did against Brandon Vera he will get crushed!

He is a big boy that’s much is true. Vera is not one of my favs to watch but he sure gave Mir what for. Another challenge for Lesnar would have been better. Picture Tim Silvia and Lesnar. Hahahaha

You can’t blame Brock for losing it’s his first ever UFC fight with an ex-champion with lot’s of experience, take Corture for example in his rookie debut he wouldn’t be able to beat an ex-champion. Lot’s of you must be forgetting about Brock’s experience in wreslting i’m not talking about the WWE, for ex. 1998 Junior College National Champion , Ranked the #1 Heavyweight in the Big Ten (2000), 2000 NCAA Division I Champion . Watch out in the future this guy will be twice the fighter Corture ever was or will be.
TC. Didn’t BLAME Lesnar for losing. Said he put on a good debut. But needs to learn more about the moves within the UFC. Yes he was good at what he did and yes he may just be the next HW Newbie. Nothin’ against him. Got caught lost the fight…. next….JMO
And as for the Randy comment. Everyone has a time and a place his was then and maybe Brock’s will be in the future. Who knows, the UFC always has something exciting going on somewhere! JMO(just my opinion)
