Wow. There was a bit of an eye opener!. I really do feel that some fighters are treated differently than others. This seems a bit unfair and I believe that the longer you are in a sport or a job, you get paid accordingly. Randy made strong points and I think Randy is thinking beyond the money for sure. Randy is a household name whether you like him or not. Every fight he has had has been a good fight; some great. Maybe he should have spoke a bit sooner. Who knows. It’s too bad things have to go down like this. Randyfan!

This is all very disturbing. I’ve been a fan since 1995 and never miss a ppv. I love this sport. Now I don’t know what to think, other than it makes me sick to my stomach. All this “dirty laundry” should have been kept in house and not aired for all to see. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle and hopefully they will work something out. On the other hand, if I were Randy at his age I wouldn’t want to fight at this point unless it was with Fedor. Not much else to gain. I’ve seen Fedor fight many times and think it would be much closer than Dana thinks. It would have been the most talked about fight ever. Think of all the ppv customers they would have had. What I want to know is why Fedor turned down the ufc. He would have been rich from the 1 fight.

Randy is totally my favorite fighter. He IS still full of integrity and class and has represented this sport very well.
Yup but a lie is a lie. He needs to come out with more proof of his alligations. My favourite too but disturbed by this and the timing of this.
The best way to find out all of the facts is to have this go to court. Righ now, both White and Randy are positioning themselves as the person being wronged. They are both throwing around figures and showing paperwork that slants the argument their own direction. If it goes to court, neither of them can hide anything with regards to pay and compensation. I have no doubt that what Randy said about Pride fighters being given huge contracts is true. Fact is, you have two former champions that are unhappy with their treatment by the UFC, not just former champions, but two of only a handful of UFC Hall of Famers. Both Randy and Shamrock have talked about how Dana has treated them. I have a tough time believing that two Hall of Famers are both just lying to hurt the UFC and Dana White for no good reason. Fact is, I believe that once a fighter hits a certain age, Dana could give two sh**s about them, even though they are two of the biggest reason the sport even exists today. In my opinion, this is a bad move on the part of the UFC. Anyone who has watched Randy fight and seen the things he’s done with charity organizations..etc, knows that he is a class guy. He’s not just some dumb thug who’s trying to be selfish. Like any other top athlete would do, he’s trying to negotiate fair market value. He’s the Heavy Weight champion for crying out loud. Given the current popularity of the sport (second to NFL), the Heavy Weight Champion should be making top dollar.
