Tonight, on Spike TV’s 2007 Scream Awards, UFC President Dana White announced that this dream will finally become a reality when UFC and PRIDE former champions Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell and “The Axe Murderer” Wanderlei Silva face each other at UFC 79: NEMESIS live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center Saturday, December 29, 2007.”

I never rated Wanderlei very highly… The loss Liddell sffered to Jardine last time was crushing. Now that Wandy is in the UFc and he is fighting a fluffer in Chuck Liddell. That’s right guys, chuck is his warm up fight.
All I can say is this is going to me a HUGE card when it happens, what’s is the name of the fight card gonna be UFCXX: Showdown or, “Judgement Day” would be good…
I hope Liddell kicks his frikkin head off regardless.

Should be a great fight, the Axe Murderer will take this one, he owns Quinton Jackson, and Qunton Jackson owns Chuck, just remember when Chuck came to Pride, he didn’t he make it to Silva

On the ground maybe. Hughes was defeated by GSP. Like I said before he is a good fighter but no WOW factor. He is somethin’ else to watch on that reality show. Bibles??? How about ground and pound and extensive training for these potential up and comers. It’s hard to teach others what you know when we can read Hughes like a book (not the bible) LOL. I was just watching Silva, Liddell training, and Hughes and GSP. Man Chuck is studying big time, and Wanderlei is training like a man on a mission. I don’t think Chuck is doing enough to win, but something will happen.
But it’s hard to predict the fight for Matt Hughes and GSP.

ooooh… sorry… i could have told you that BJ was gonna hand Joe his ass, Joe just hasn’t faught anyone at that level b4 and it was 2 early to take that fight. As far as the Silva/Hendo fight… I don’t know what I think, I mean, Hendo is realy strong for a MW, and has good striking at LHW, but I mean, realy, you cant even try to compare striking ability, Anderson owns that category, but what gives Hendo a chance is the fact that Silva really has NO takedown defence at all against this pedigree of wrestler. If Hendo wins thats gonna be his key 2 victory. If he decides to stand up with anderson,(like he often does in his fights) I realy dont see him being able to avoid a knockout, I mean say what you want about the fact that hes never been KOed, but theres a first time for everything and Anderson has just the kind of flawless, precise striking 2 hand Hendo his first. Concidering all that… I’m still completely torn on this fight.
I totally agree on the Henderson fight, If he bangs it out then Silva will find his button, maybe we will see a simular strategy to the one that Chuck used on Wandy, I cant wait for the fight (Silva-Henderson)
