UFC Light Heavy Weight Division

UFC Light Heavy Weight Division - A fountain of talent.

A fight is a fight and anyone can beat anyone on any given day! Just who is the best Light Heavy Weight on the planet? This division is just awesome and the results that its throwing up are against form and mind boggling.

  1. Wanderlei Silva beats Quinton Jackson, Dan Henderson beats Wanderlei Silva, Quinton Jackson beats Dan Henderson.
  2. Shogun beats Jackson, Jackson beats Liddell, Forrest beats Shogun.
  3. Bonnar beats Jardine, Jardine beats Forrest, Houston beats Jardine, Jardine beats Liddell, Liddell beat Randy, Randy beats up everyone (as a Heavyweight)

The only pattern is chaos.

The talent pool is so deep and wide at present, that predicting the outcome of a Light Heavy Weight is a nightmare.  Sponsors must be having a hard time too, not knowing which guys to back.  One things for sure though, this is a great time to be a fan.  A golden age in MMA.

Is the Light heavy Weight division missing a dominant champ, a stand out figure.  Our current champ has been convincingly beat by 2 current UFC fighters, Shogun and Silva, or are we just happy that a fight is a fight and anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

Great post, Beans. I think the LHW division is a jungle at the moment and they dont know who to give a title shot to next : Gump,Sardine??? I hope to see W.Silva in the mix soon and Houston Alexander fighting the best the ufc has to offer! As for NOgun he needs to slaughter his next opponent to make me think he deserves a shot lol!

ha ha,very good pieface.i reckon shogun had a conditioning problem last time out.he wont make that mistake again.that boy can have a row.
forrest has improved tenfold.im in shock.he actualy looks like a real contender.
i think jardine and alexander need 2 sort it out.

    W. Silva is one to watch for sure. Can’t wait to see what he can do when he fights. Never underestimate the other guy. Like you said there are good days and bad days for all. Forrest gets better with time. He is great to watch; and even though he is a “bleeder” it never seems to hold him down. He has a great outlook on the sport and humbling. Interesting chap! Good to talk. Trishaaaaaaaaaaaa

Wanderlei Silva vs Chuck Liddell and B.J Penn vs Joe Stevenson at ufc 79 NEMESIS!

Hey. That would be a good card! When I watch Penn and Stevenson they appear to have the same type of conditioning. Somehow I think that Stevenson would take that fight. (only my opinion)
