Well….. The baddest man on the planet has finally signed an exclusive contract with a promotion. Unfortunately, for most fans, Fedor has not signed with the UFC.
The Fight Network’s Loretta Hunt broke the story:
PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko has committed exclusively to the new ownership of M-1 Mix-Fight Championship, which has been purchased outright by an undisclosed American entertainment-related company, according to a source close to the deal who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Who the true identity of the “undisclosed American entertainment-related company” is anyones guess at this point but the buzz is it could be Dallas Maverick’s owner Mark Cuban.
M-1 is a Russian organization who previously held events mainly on Russian soil. Surely with this signing we will see them branching out to other nations.

its a shame the ufc couldnt close the deal on fedor.his team were asking 4 too much.dana called them “crazy russians”,ha ha.typical dana.
Oh well, eventually he be in UFC in no time I hope.

Don’t rent pay per view people and maybe dana white will stop treating fighters like shit when it comes to their contracts! I go to the bars to watch.. fedor does’nt like Dana whites negotiation skills, neither does tito, nor does randy! what does thsi tell you everyone? The problem is the self proclaimed greedy company owner Dana white and his reluctance to get people the contracts that will generate fans! I am going to start watching M1 and have it on my tv as a subscription package! UfC is all about bottom dollar profit, hype before the fights, and 30 minute tv promotions hogging airwaves! All just to hype up an event and majority end in the first or second round! they get you for 44.95$ and smile.. GO TO A BAR LIKE I AM DOING NOW!! this will force all cable providers to strike a better deal with Dana white!
