Lots of people like to smoke weed, from all walks of life. That’s a fact, good or bad.
Sports people found after a hard days training ‘having a burn’ would relax your muscles and aid recovery. They say weed chills you out. Bodybuilders used weed in the 70s and yes allegedly Arnold Schwarzenegger,former mr olympia, California Governor and A list movie star, loved a smoke.
Recently UFC fighters and commentators have been ‘at it’. Joe Rogan, UFC commentator and comedian, says having a weed gets him ready for his stand up routine and his BJJ training. Diego Sanchez, Nick Diaz and Phil Baroni have all proved to be naughty boys smoking pot recently.
As for ‘weed’ being performance enhancing, forget it. Quite the opposite I imagine.
Suspending fighters for testing positive for cannabis… It’s still illegal to smoke so I suppose they have got to, or maybe they should just chill out a bit. I know just the thing….

Yes, It is illegal so they should be suspended if caughted using pot.
drug testing,in sport,is in place 2 prevent people using drugs that will enhance there performance.
im not convinced cannabis would aid a fighter in any form.
its my belief that these tests can detect cannabis 4 a period of 28 days after inhalation.a fighter could be suspended 4 having a smoke weeks previously.
this seems harsh.but then again, they should know better.
whocares they like to get baked once in awhile its no big deal, its like some people like to have a beer once in a while, or get drunk, whats the difference? yea weed is illegal but alcohal is even worse for u and lots of ufc fighters party alot.
