Dan Henderson makes the switch from PRIDE to the UFC

Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg bore me but at least they confirmed that Dan Henderson is going to be the next challlenger for the light heavyweight title. Hollywood’s the current PRIDE welterweight and middleweight champion and he’ll be the challenger in the winner of tonight’s fight between Chuck Liddell and Quinton Jackson.

Bring it Dan!

No doubt, it’s gonna be great to see Dan Henderson and Quinton Jackson fight. It just makes the division of light heavyweight more competitive, that’s not a bad thing. And I am sure Chuck will get a shot, I think that for Henderson to come in straight away from PRIDE and get an immediate match against the UFC light heavyweight champion is not cool tho. We should be seeing one fight first.

i agree dan having a shot immediatly is not cool.i thought dana would like 2 introduce his fighting to all the “plastic mma fans” with a warm up fight.maybe they believe pride title holder dan has earnt the shot elsewhere.

He doesn’t deserve a shot straight away. He has to fight someone first. There are legit contenders waiting in line for the title shot. Even Rampage having one fight then getting Liddell was not right. I guess there are gaps in the light heavyweight division to fill so Hendo coming over is kinda weird.

Is it gonna be a belt swap situation? Winner of Hendo/Rampage gets the belts? How the F#&K does that work?

id say if they fight in the octagon only the ufc belt would b in contention.but u make an interesting point.if rampage won it would cheapen dans belts.if that was the case.its like a champ having a non title fight.something i believe is absurd.

I dunno, it’s like Rampage has everything to lose and nothing to gain if Hendo wins…

I can see it right now ufc 85 hendo vs liddell.
