Tito Ortiz may be facing Rashad Evans instead of Keith Jardine at UFC71. What do you think about that? Personally, I am all for it, what an awesome fight and I’m pretty sure most people out there would rather see Evans fight Ortiz.
If you were Tito, would you be worried? I would be, Rashad Evans is a beast, plain and simple. He knocked out Sean Salmon in January 2007 with a kick to the head and KO’d Jason Lambert from the mount in September 2006.
Let’s kick a poll into place on this one, vote below:
Would you rather see Tito fight Evans or Jardine?
- Rashad Evans (60%)
- Keith Jardine (40%)
Total Votes: 10

Georges St. Pierre is taking on TUF4 winner Matt Serra at UF69 Shootout. I imagine Matt Serra has been training like a dog for this fight, he hasn’t fought since TUF4. St. Pierre last TKO’s Matt Hughes at UFC65 in mid November 2006 and because of injury has been slow getting back into the octagon. So where’s this fight going? Matt Serra is comfortable standing up and punching but he’d rather take it to the mat with his excellent ground game and submission ability. Georges St. Pierre is incredibly strong, dynamic and very much able to ground and pound. St. Pierre is up there with Rich Franklin, he’s one of my favorite fighters in the UFC and that’s why I’m putting my money there :)

It was a big night win for Randy Couture in UFC The Uprising with a monster 5 rounder ending up with a decision rightfully swinging his way to make him the new UFC heavyweight champion. Where does this leave Tim Sylvia?
Other upsets on the card include Renato Sobral’s defeat to Jason Lambert with an explosive KO punch in round 2. Matt Hughes and Rich Franklin managed to get a win but Matt Hughes had to go all the way to the wire for a decision whereas Jason MacDonald’s corner stopped the fight at the end of round 2.
Matt Hamill continues with a perfect record in the UFC, he’s a bulldog.
