ufc-65.jpg Novemeber 18, 2006 From ARCO Arena in Sacramento California.

It featured the highly anticipated rematch between Middleweights Georges St. Pierre and Matt Hughes for the UFC Middleweight Championship. St. Pierre avenged his previous defeat from Matt Hughes by dominating the match, and TKOing Matt Hughes in the second round.

The headlining event was The UFC Heavyweight Championship between Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia and Jeff “The Snowman” Monson. Monson moved up to Heavyweight for a shot at the title and gave up almost 20 pounds and an entire foot in height. Monson was handily beaten over the course of five rounds by the more accurate striking of Tim Sylvia and was unable to use his wrestling ability to gain any advantage on the ground.

In other interesting news from the card, last minute replacement Drew McFedries Shocked the sellout crowd with a first round submission of heavily favored Allessio Sakara.
